  • 1 package Cream Cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven at 300F
  2. Cut strips of bacon in half
  3. Slice jalapenos in half, longways
  4. Remove seeds and membrane from jalapenos
  5. Fill center with cream cheese [1]
  6. Wrap with bacon
  7. Bake 30 minutes at 300F

Q and A

Q: Why do you cook the poppers at 300F and not 400F?
A: You can cook at 400F for 20 minutes but the smoke point of bacon is around 325F. Too many times I smoked out the house cooking at 400F.

  1. You can add shredded cheese, small chicken strips, shrimp, or many other things to the cream cheese for even more interesting poppers.
